An original devoré velvet pattern of Willow Branches. The fabric is sheer silk chiffon backing dyed a red tone. The velvet pile is hand-painted with dyes in a watercolor style using blending colors of reds and purples. All natural materials makes for an incredible drape that is luxuriously soft.

Once the fabric is made, it is sewn together into this simple kimono jacket style, with rolled-edges helms. It Measures 33" (84cm) from the neckline to the bottom seam in back. It is wide and drapes nicely over many body types. It can be dressed down with jeans or worn to a special occasion.

This shawl was pre-washed as part of the dying and hand-painting process. A cold, gentle cycle followed by a hot dryer will add to its softness.
