Satin Scarf/Shawl in Berry and Blue
• One of a kind:
My very own design of pussy-willow branches, cut into white silk satin, creating a texture called devorè. The fabric is a shimmering rayon pattern on a sheer silk chiffon background. The silk is dip-dyed a cranberry tone. I then hand-paint the rayon pattern, using blue and green dyes like watercolors. The colors are mixed so they are permanent.
This scarf was pre-rinsed as part of the dying and hand-painting process. It should be washed in a cold, gentle cycle. It may be ironed.
The sewn hems are rolled-edges.
•The fabric is 50% silk backing and 50% rayon pile.
All natural materials make it luxuriously soft.
