Velvet Scarf with Roses Pattern in Black Yellow and Chartreuse
I printed my own new roses pattern into white silk-velvet, creating a texture called devorè velvet, sometimes referred to as "burn-out velvet" or "cut velvet". The fabric is shear silk dyed black, with an all-over velvet pattern hand-painted with more black, yellows and green dyes in a watercolor effect.
This scarf was pre-rinsed as part of the dying and hand-painting process. A cold, gentle cycle will make it softer. A hot dryer will make it fluffier. It may be ironed on the reverse side.
The sewn hems are rolled-edges.
•The fabric is 50% silk and 50% rayon.
All natural materials make it luxuriously soft.
