• One of a kind: A pattern of Willow branches inspired by the Art Nouveau movement. Making devoré fabric requires removing a pattern of velvet pile from solid velvet, leaving the sheer silk chiffon backing. The silk was dyed a coral color and the contrasting lustrous rayon velvet pattern, was hand-painted with vivid dyes, in a watercolor style.
• Washable:
This scarf was pre-rinsed as part of the dying and hand-painting process. A cold, gentle wash cycle followed by a hot dryer will make it softer. It may be ironed on the reverse side.
•Measures 21"x 70" (54cm x 178cm):
The sewn hems are rolled edges.
•The fabric is silk chiffon backing with rayon velvet pile.
All natural materials make it luxuriously soft.
