Made of burnout (devoré) velvet, the fabric is sheer silk chiffon backing dyed gray, contrasting with a shimmering with hints of color in a rayon velvet pattern.

This fabric is washed as part of the burnout and dying and process and so is washable in a cold, gentle cycle after wear. Following with a hot drying cycle will add to its softness.
