• One-of-a-kind:
The burn-out velvet pattern of rosettes-with-thorny-branches is called devorè because we are devouring or removing some of the fabric. The backing is sheer silk dyed black. I hand-painted the shimmering rayon pile with contrasting red and green dyes.
• Washable:
This scarf was pre-washed as part of the dying and hand-painting process. A cold, gentle cycle will make it softer. A hot dryer will make it fluffier. It may be ironed on the reverse side.
•Measures 13"'x60" (35cmx157cm):
The sewn hems are rolled-edges.
•The fabric is 50% silk and 50% rayon.
All natural materials make it luxuriously soft.
