• One of a kind:
The Devoré technique is the process of removing velvet pile with a stenciled chemical, revealing a velvet pattern with its silk chiffon backing intact. The contrast of the shimmering velvet and silk chiffon is dramatic and elegant. I hand-dye the velvet with brush strokes, in a watercolor style.
• Washable:This scarf was prewashed as part of the dying and hand-painting process. A cold, gentle wash cycle followed by a hot dryer will make it softer. It may be ironed on the reverse side.
•Measures 21"x 70" (54cm x 178cm):
The sewn hems are rolled edges.
•The fabric is silk backing with rayon pile.
All natural materials make it luxuriously soft.
