An original pattern of Oak Leaves made from what began as solid white silk-velvet. Devoré, (burnout or cut) velvet is created by removing velvet pile to reveal a pattern. The sheer silk chiffon background was dyed green. The all-over shimmering velvet pattern was then hand-painted with more dyes.
• Washable:
This scarf was pre-washed as part of the dying and hand-painting process. A cold, gentle cycle wash will add to its softness, as will putting it in the dryer. It may be ironed on the reverse side.
•Measures 20"'x70" (54x177cm):
The sewn hems are rolled-edges. Can be worn as a scarf or shawl.
•The fabric is 100% silk chiffon backing with rayon velvet pile.
All natural materials make it luxuriously soft.
Requests for custom colors are welcome.
