This original pattern of rain drops clinging to bare branches was made from what was originally solid velvet. Burnout velvet (devoré) is a dramatic contrast of sheer silk chiffon with a shimmering plush velvet pile. This scarf was dyed purple and hand-painted with dyes in a watercolor style in the studio.
It Measures: 13"x60" (35cmx 157 cm):
The fabric is 100% silk backing with %100 rayon pile.

Each scarf is individually made and is therefor one-of-a-kind. The burnout pattern is custom designed and made and is exclusively found here. It is wearable art for a unique woman. Silk velvet is luxuriously soft. it is also washable! This fabric is washed as part of the dying and hand-painting process and so a cold, gentle machine cycle followed by a hot dryer cycle will add to its softness.
